Alt Valley Community Trust is a pioneering Community anchor organisation established in 1983 as an Educational Charity to support lifelong learning within the Croxteth Community.

Since these early days we have developed quite significantly and now have several specialist sections which contribute to the well being and regeneration of local communities.

Research by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation identified AVCT as a key factor that had influenced improvement in Croxteth

“This social enterprise (AVCT) was credited by many as a key reason for improvement in Croxteth. This is partly for its education, training and employment programmes, but also for the leadership it provides within the community, challenging other service providers to use their resources for maximum local benefit.”
